100 Happy Days

I'm going to partake in #100happydays {I actually started yesterday}.

What you do is post a photo of something that made you happy on that day. You'll do this for 100 days. If you can make it all 100 days, they'll send you a booklet of all your photos that you took during the 100 days.

I love this idea! I think they're spot on when they say we get so caught up in our everyday life that we forget all the little things {or big things} that make us happy!

Are you ready for a happier 100 days?!

Breakfast {x3}

Long time no see... I swear I'm alive! {And I know you guys missed me.. I'm flattered... ;) }

I love that we got to "spring" ahead and turn our clocks forward an hour.. More daylight! Yay!

I'm not sure about you guys, but we got in a nice little warm front. Like it was in the upper 60's today. It was B-E-A-UTIFUL!

This morning I did not get a chance to snap a picture of my first breakfast.. {Yes, that's right. I said first breakfast}. I was running like 20 mins behind for church... Oops... :/ I had strawberry cereal, half of a banana, and coffee. After church, I went to workout. For a pre-workout I had like 6 mocha covered almonds and my Catalyst.

After a much needed date with the gym, I stopped by the school to make some copies for my 4-H meeting, and then went home to make my second breakfast. About 15 mins before I ate breakfast #2, I took Fibo-Trim. My breakfast #2 would include: 1/2 cup egg white omelette {cayenne pepper, green pepper, Canadian bacon, and spinach}, salsa, strawberries {I did not eat all of those!}, and Light and Fit Raspberry Chocolate Greek yogurt.
Like I said, it was so nice outside! I took Thor on walk. Walking my dog is one of my most favorite things to do. Can I mention that the wind was blowing like crazy...Like, 30 mph. It was good resistant training?!

After our walk, I ate an apple and a handful of cashews/almond mix and ate a bunch of carrots. Then headed off to my 4-H meeting. Shortly after 4-H, I took off for Thor's dog training. Spending time with my puppy is my favorite.

It was time for breakfast #3 and ThermoPlus when we got home. PB&J oatmeal. You can never go wrong with PB&J's.
Breakfast #3 consisted of: 1/2 of a heaping cup of quick oats, 2 tbsp of almond milk, 1/2 {give or take} water, 1 heaping tbsp peanut butter, and 1 tbsp of jelly. This is paired with two clementines. It felt weird eating oatmeal without coffee.. I used a new type of peanut butter. If you have a sweet tooth, you'll love this!
I really want to try the Cinnamon Raisin flavor.. What's your go-to peanut butter?!

I also had a half of a Cookies and Cream Quest Bar about 30 mins ago ... You've done it again, Quest. Standing "O" from this girl.

Gettin' Down with the Sickness

Last night was a tough one. I woke up a few times coughing and not feeling the best. I thought I had got ride of my cold a couple days ago, but it showed up again on Saturday and I really started feeling it yesterday. And having to wake up at 5:45am instead of the normal 7:40am didn't help.

To say the least, I felt like a train had hit me. My head was super congested, and my ears were full. So it was time to make a doctors appointment. As expected, I have a sinus infection. Not a huge deal but I hate not feeling well {I get super whiney}. So I'm on antibiotics and some nose spray and hopefully I'll be feeling 100% soon! I was also super bummed about being sick because I was feeling super awesome about my workout/eating right yesterday. Gaaahhh..

I also decided to skip the gym, and head over to Hy-Vee to get more Luna bars...They were on sale! I'm gonna enjoy my day off and take care of myself. Don't get so caught up in working out that you over do it and exhaust yourself. I am guilty of doing this. I get almost obsessive with working out and it takes over my life. In result of that, I end up hating working out and/or sick. In this case I got sick.

It's okay to put yourself first! You gotta keep yourself healthy that way you can dominate those workouts!

3/3/14

Alright. So I'm feeling super lame. I used the date for my title. I guess the creative juices aren't flowing. Oh whale..

I am feeling more like myself {knock on wood} compared to last week. Thankfully, last week is in the past and I can move forward with life {insert sign of relief}.

This morning I started out with some strawberry cereal, almond milk {which I'm always tempted to lick the bowl clean, but I feel guilty when I see my dog's begging eyes starring at me..}, and a half of a banana.

Lunch I had an awesome wrap with chipotle chicken, lettuce, Laughing Cow Garlic and Herb cheese wedge, and an apple. Yum! I had my cherry Spark and like 10 almonds for a snack.

Then, I came home from delivering a scholarship that was due today... FYI I'm a procrastinator.. Like badly.. I'll explain tomorrow.. ;) {Get it?! It's punny..} I was feeling a little more hungry and those almonds did not hold me over long enough.. So I ate a questionable amount of cashews. I'm having a weird obsession with nuts lately.. I just love them so much!I just wish they wouldn't be so calorie dense.. Oh whale.. Moderation is key..

Once I got home I had this grand idea to try out a workout from Youtube.{I also took my Catalyst} I started on a series and about a solid hour into I stopped. I'm not really a workout DVD type of girl...Ya feel? I would rather be in the gym.. So that's where I went. Into the gym. Glad I did! I was thinking about skipping all together..

Anyway, I got home and made an omelette. I love breakfast food. You can never go wrong with breakfast.
This had egg whites, Canadian bacon, green pepper, colby jack cheese, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. I also added some salsa! LOVE. IT. Pretend there was 2 clementines and the butt of a banana. I ate those before the picture was taken..
Then I had a Luna Iced Oatmeal Raisin bar.^^^ These were on sale so I stocked up! I may go back to the store and get more... This flavor gets an A+. It was awesome. I didn't want it to end. The bars are actually larger than my picture shows...I ate half of it before I could take a picture.. No shame.. :)

Welp. I'm off to shower and bed. I have contest for FFA tomorrow bright and early!

Happy March!

I'm absolutely excited it's March!

Why?

Well because it's one step closer to spring {anyone else tired of being inside because of this funky weather?}. And March gets busier for me. Which is good! I have interviews for FFA, and Ski Trip coming up! Yes! I've never skied before... Pray for me...

Even more importantly...Catching Fire comes out on DVD March 7th. Yes.

I've neglected the gym this last week.. Here's my excuse {even though I hate excuses} I've been filling out applications day-n-night. I've been eating and breathing applications.

And to add, this past week was not a good one. I definitely felt like I was in a funk and needed a break. Even caffeine couldn't even save this week..But, giving yourself a break is good. Just make sure you get right back on track!

This is totally a God moment. At FCA this week we talked about how no matter where you are in life, you can start over at this very moment. You can have a clean slate and God will never hold the wrong things you have done against you. I was having an awful week. And hearing that message totally made my heart lighter. And it turned my week around. I love how God planned that out! In honor of my God moment this week...
We've got new music from Jeremy Camp playing on K-LOVE!!
