Change in Mind

Good morning, everyone!

I want to update you on some decisions that I've made...

Because I totally screwed up my 10 day cleanse, I've decided to put my 24 day challenge on a halt. I am finishing out the cleanse, but I will not do the the max phase... I will do the max phase at a later time!

You can say I'm a quitter. But, I believe that this is best for me.

I don't want to waste my money and time by not following the program correctly.

On a lighter note, this fits me exactly!

Day 4,5,&6

What a week it's been...

Friday I went to a student fashion show with a committee I serve on. It was awesome!!!

But, you know what wasn't awesome? The fact that I didn't stick to the herbal cleanse diet over the weekend.. :(

I had dessert....white pasta....cookies..chips... I know, I know. How hard is it the eat clean for 10 days? IT'S HARD. LET ME TELL YA. {No wonder they call it a challenge}.

On the bright side, I stayed on track with taking the pills and what not. And now that I think of it, I did this last time too. Since I don't eat a all "natural" diet in my lifestyle, it's a hard 10 days. Like eliminating coffee and sweets. I love eating all things and I don't like depriving myself. I don't see how people can do it... Actually, I commend people who do because IT'S HARD!!

In other words, I'm ready for the 14 day max-out phase. :D

But, I am excited to show you new pictures of my meals!! How exciting! ;)

Friday's lunch- Egg whites, turkey sausage, potatoes, and salsa.
This morning's breakfast- Quick oats, chunky peanut butter, and a banana.
I also made it into a flower shape because it was raining and it reminded me of spring!
Stayin' hydrated during Friday's workout.
I noticed I wear a lot of grey t-shirts when I workout. Partially because I want to see all the sweat I'm making! Gross? Nah.

Day 1

Happy first day of the 14 Day Challenge!

Here's the recap of my day:

I downed the herbal cleanse drink {if you do the Challenge, please do yourself a favor and buy the peaches and cream flavor cleanse. It's 100 times better than citrus. Take my word on it!} Then I had a whole wheat bagel, chunky peanut butter, and strawberries.

Con to the cleanse: No coffee. Well, you can have coffee just no creamers and extra sugar. UGH!

Lunch rolled around and I had a salad with egg whites and an apple. For a snack I had spark and some almonds. Then it was time for the gym....

Oh....my.....word.... Let's just say I could definitely tell that I haven't been in the gym for a month.. I did manage to take a #sweatyselfie.
Seriously, though. It was tough getting back into the swing of things. But, I did manage to do a nice {not so} little arm workout. I'm sure I'll be feeling it tomorrow... :D

I made a Cookies and Cream protein shake when I got home and paired it with a clementine. I also had to add some "p'zazz" to my water.
It was finally dinner time. I was starving. Yay for ham, asparagus, and sweet potatoes with cinnamon!
After dinner, I grabbed a chocolate chip cookie dough quest bar. Mmmmmmm. Quest never lets me down. Quest is always there for me. I love Quest.

Then I proceeded to have celery and pb2. I'll take my herbal cleanse pills, catalyst, and night time recovery closer to bed time.

All-in-all it was a good first day. Minus the raging headache I had all day. Holy moly, that was no fun.

24 Day Challenge

Well, hello everyone!

It's been a while.

This is what I've been up to...
Putting together my 24 day challenge!! Excited to shred weight and get back to healthier habits. Cheesey, I know. But, true. I'll post day-to-day on each adventure with my Challenege.

I've downloaded the new 24 Day Challenege app and I'm ready to go!!

Here's to getting that graduation/summer bod!

Challenge Time

I was so excited to be greeted with an Advocare package this afternoon.

I order the first part of the 24 day challenge because I already have the second half.

I'm gonna start my 24 day challenge after Easter break!! So excited!!!

Want to join me? https://www.advocare.com/14019940/Store/24Wizard/ Buy the bundle and let's do it (add catalyst- it'll bring out muscle definition and give you energy to dominate each workout)! My first time doing the challenge I lost about 6 pounds and a couple inches. I can't wait to see what I can do this time around...

Remember, order that 24 day challenge a week before the 21st of April. We can get summer bodies in no time! It'll be awesome. Trust me!

(Heads up: Slam is not apart of the 24 day challenge. I ordered it separately).

Dog Cookies

Humans are not the only ones who like cookies.

Our furry little friends LOVE cookies.

(I may or may not need a little work on taking pictures..)

The recipe I used came from The Cookie Rookie

This recipe is one for the books!
What you need:
2 1/2 cups of wheat flour (or any type of flour you please)
1 tsp of baking powder
1 cup of peanut butter (I used 1/2 c of creamy and 1/2 chunky)
1 cup water
2 Tbsp of honey
1 egg

What you'll do:
  1. Preheat that oven to 350 degrees
  2. Combine flour, baking powder, and egg into a large bowl. Add the peanut butter, honey, and water into the flour mixture.Combine all of these ingredients until dough is tough. Don't be afraid to use your hands!
  3. Flour a clean space so you can roll out your dough. Roll the dough to your desired thickness. Use the cookie cutters to make fun shapes and place the cookies onto the baking sheet!
  4. Bake for about 15-20 minutes. (I did 15 because I wanted them to be a bit softer)
  5. Let cool and place into a container!
  6. Let dog devour. :)
Pictures of the process.

(The little chunks are from the chunky peanut butter)
This must be a good recipe because my dog is still eating them today... Come to think of it.... He likes to drink out of the toilet, so I'm not entirely surprised he'll eat these..

Reunited and It Feels So Good

I'm finally getting back into the swing of things..

Like, catching up on my blogging...

But, since I don't have any recipes or new products to chit-chat about I'll just let you know what I've been up to.

{Aka post some pictures}

Here's Thor. Getting a bath. And a mohawk. I guess he thought he was ready for summer and went for a swim...
{I love me some fishy smelling dogs..}
Here's my good friend and I baking a tres leches cake for a spanish project. It was quite the process making the cake from scratch. But, it was super duper yummy. {Duh, anything I make is yummy ;) }

This is a couple of the people who are in the town's FCA group. We went and saw God's Not Dead this Wednesday. It was pretty good! I would recommend going to it! Makes me want to live more boldly for Christ!

Last but not least, my cousin sent me a Catching Fire Barbie doll and Mockingjay pin. If there's one thing I want you to know, it's that I have a crazy dedication {obsession} with the Hunger Games. And I have no shame. Judge me.
{Or don't...That's good too..}

Long Time No See

I'm feeling kind of bad for abandoning you...

But I have good reasons for the abandoning..

Like, ski trip.
It was so beautiful in Colorado. But, skiing is not for me. Even though I had tons of fun.... It's not something I want to do everyday... I prefer warm and sunny over snowy and cold.

I'm also getting prepared for state convention. I get to compete for food science and I'm interviewing for state office. Talk about craziness!! It'll be great.

You're probably thinking that this is the part when I tell you I've been naughty and have gone off track... It's funny, cause you're right.

I've hit the gym when I {made} time. But, I've also ate a whole bag of Chex mix....all by myself..... Food has definetly been a huge temptation. Why? Well, when I get stressed or bored I eat. I like to fake myself into thinking I'm hungry to give me something to do. I think the only solution to this problem is locking me into a room before and after dinner....

Or maybe you can think of another idea....

I have taken some #sweatyselfies when I did make it the gym though...

And one post workout snack..

One of these days I'll get myself together and find a balance.

be always blooming.
My little reminder to keep getting better and make good choices everyday!
